Tuesday Night “Closed” Having Recovered; What Now?
Location: Betty Brunker Hall, 152 Lever St, London EC1V 8BG.
Time: 18:00 – 19:00. Doors open at 17:40.
Meeting format: Step 10 – 12 Discussion Meeting – Steps 10 and 11 form a daily program of rigorous honesty—an ongoing pursuit of truth that fosters emotional regulation, reduces fear-based thinking, and supports neurological stability. Step 12 calls us to carry this message to the suffering alcoholic and to live these principles—honesty, willingness, and open-mindedness—in all areas of life, grounding recovery in action and sustained psychological growth. In this meeting, we explore these ideas through open discussion. To help deepen the conversation and open us up to new ideas, we incorporate an outside book every month whose ideas align with Steps 10-12.
Fellowship: Commonly known as the meeting after the meeting. The members of our group will say that this common A.A. practice was really helpful in their early days. We always go for a meal at an affordable local restaurant, all are welcome.
Friday Night “Open” Newcomer-Focused Speaker Meeting.

At 6:40 pm we pause for Tradition 7 and a 10-minute break. After that, the night’s guest speaker shares for 30 – 35 minutes. The Secretary’s announcements follow this.

Note: An “Open” Meeting like our Friday one are for anyone who wants to find out more about Alcoholics Anonymous. Our focus at that meeting is on carrying the message of A.A. to the alcoholic newcomer. However it is also a place for non-alcoholics to find out more about Alcoholics Anonymous and what we can offer to those suffering from Alcoholism.
A “Closed” Meeting is only for alcoholics or those with a desire to stop drinking. The reason being is instead of talking in a general way the format of the meeting is focussed more on the A.A program of recovery.
